Sharī‘ah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad has conducted two competitions titled “Peaceful coexistence calligraphy competition” and “Nature and Harmony painting competition” on 15 March 2022 and 16 March 2022 respectively. The competitions were aimed to highlight the skills capabilities of the students from various of the twin cities showing the harmony among the living creatures.
Around 30 competitors have participated in both events successfully which were monitored by a jury comprising of Mr. Jahangir Shah, Calligrapher of IRI, Mr. Zarar Haider Babri (The renowned artist), and Ms. Attia Abrar (HoD, Islamic Arts and Architecture) chaired by Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia Mansoor, Director-General Sharī‘ah Academy.
The jury was impressed by the astonishing paintings created by the competitors and appreciation was given to the participants. Among the compotators whose paintings were according to the rules and guidelines and were attractive were awarded prizes. The jury after a long discussion over the performance of the competitors recommended that the paintings of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders may be placed on the walls of Sharī‘ah Academy.
The competitions ended with the distribution of certificates between the participants.
