


Shari‘ah Academy, International Islamic University, has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mahad-ul-Faqeer al-Islami, Jhang, Pakistan, to promote academic exchange and collaboration.
Moulana Habib Ullah Ahmad, President Mahad-ul-Faqeer al-Islami, Jhang, signed the MoU on behalf of his institution, while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram signed it on behalf of the Shari‘ah Academy.
Through this MoU, both institutions have vowed to launch collaborative initiatives such as joint diploma and certificate courses, particularly through online mode, and joint training programs and workshops.
The MoU signing was preceded by a cordial and fruitful meeting of the academic and administrative staff of the Shari‘ah Academy with the worthy guest.
Moulana Habib Ullah informed attendees of the meeting about the activities of Mahad-ul-Faqeer al-Islami, particularly its online section named E-Mahad. He said that there are more than twenty-five thousand students from around the globe enrolled in various programs offered by the Mahad. He intended to initiate joint activities in collaboration with the Shari’ah Academy, particularly online diploma and certification courses.
Moulana Habib Ullah was briefed earlier about the Shari’ah Academy and its programs, activities, publications, and outreach programs. Dr. Akram further informed him that the Academy has already established links with national and international institutions and is working on expanding the sphere and scope of its activities. He also apprised that the Academy is determined to extend its outreach activities through collaboration with the important seats of religious and legal learning throughout Pakistan and across various schools of thought to realize its statutory mandate fully.
On the occasion, the scholars and officials of the Academy joined the MoU signing ceremony.
