A distinguished delegation from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy, Peshawar, led by Mr. Zia ur Rehman, Dean of Faculty, and Mr. Wajid Ali Khan, Director Instructions-III, visited the Sharī‘ah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad. The delegation included 14 Probationer Civil Judges/Judicial Magistrates/Illaqa Qazis, along with officers and officials from the KP Judicial Academy.
The Director-General of the Sharī‘ah Academy, Prof. Dr. Atta Ullah Faizi, warmly welcomed the delegation. The welcoming ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Dr. Abdul Hameed, Lecturer.
Dr. Shams ul Haq, Chairman of the Department of Training, delivered a brief presentation highlighting the history, achievements, and services offered by the Sharī‘ah Academy, including its courses and publications. In his address, the Director-General emphasized the long-standing collaboration between the Sharī‘ah Academy and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy and provided an overview of the Academy’s aims, mission, and objectives.
Mr. Zia ur Rehman, Dean of Faculty (KPJA), highlighted the importance of lifelong learning in Islamic Law and Jurisprudence, both personally and professionally, emphasizing that Pakistan’s legal system is a hybrid that must be interpreted according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
The delegation also visited the Dr. Muhammad Hameedullah Library, where they were given an orientation on its history, significance, and the services provided.
The visit concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between the two academies.
