67th Regular Sharī‘ah Course formally commenced at Sharī‘ah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI). 21 judicial officers, prosecutors and law officers from across Pakistan are participating in the course.

Held under the directive of the Government of Pakistan, this flagship course represents a core component of the Academy’s mission to deepen the understanding of Islamic law and jurisprudence among professionals in the judiciary, public prosecution, and allied legal sectors.

In alignment with the guidance of the Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan, this year’s course has been compressed from 16 weeks to 10 weeks, while retaining its essential components to fully address contemporary legal and professional needs.

Over the next ten weeks, participants will engage with a robust curriculum that combines theoretical insights with practical legal applications. The program includes interactive lectures, case studies, and dynamic discussions facilitated by distinguished scholars, jurists, and legal experts specializing in Sharī‘ah and Islamic jurisprudence.

At the opening session, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram, Director General of the Sharī‘ah Academy, warmly welcomed the participants and provided a detailed overview of the course structure, the Academy’s vision, and its pivotal role within the International Islamic University. He encouraged active engagement and informed the participants that the course also includes opportunities for both inland and international study tours.
