A meeting was held between Sharī‘ah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to discuss mutual cooperation in the field of Child Protection on 14 April 2022. The meeting was attended by Ms. Susan Andrew from UNICEF (Pakistan) and Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia, Director-General Sharī‘ah Academy along with Academy’s senior staff members. The cooperation between the two organizations goes back to 2017 when a one-day seminar and a three-day international conference on the rights of the child in Islam by the two organizations. It was further decided that details of the mutual cooperation would be chalked out in the next meeting.
